The efficacy of a single cycle of a new therapy for genital warts, intradermal fluorouracil/epinephrine (5-FU/epi) injectable gel, has been evaluated in 2 large pivotal trials; the objective of this study was to evaluate a second cycle of treatment. The electrocardiograms of 28 volunteers with sickle cell trait were compared to those of 28 control subjects. Tracings were recorded at rest, at peak exercise, at simulated sea level, and at a simulated altitude of 4,000 m. A retrospective review of all patients admitted for acute care over the past 15 years was undertaken to identify readmission for reconstructive surgery. Of 3167 survivors 629 or 19.9 per cent were readmitted for at least one reconstructive procedure. The association between prevalence of benign melanocytic nevi and a number of skin cancer risk factors was examined among 913 white Vancouver (Canada) school children aged 6 to 18 years. Fifteen patients with toxic shock syndrome were seen in a 2-yr period at a university medical center.
