We report 4 cases of spinal cord metastases of lung cancer detected by MRI. Histologically, 3 of the 4 cases were small cell carcinoma and the other was adenocarcinoma. Columnar secretory cells similar to those of lactating breast are occasionally seen in otherwise quiescent breast lobules from nonpregnant patients. These foci often contain vacuolated, enlarged, pleomorphic, and hobnail cells that may be confused with neoplastic cells. Nuclear features of malignancy are lacking, however. We present a 47-year-old woman who had focal pregnancy-like change near an excised fibroadenoma and review the literature concerning this finding.

INTRODUCTION: Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the thyroid (PSCCT) is a rare and highly aggressive malignant tumor with a poor prognosis. Although surgery, chemotherapy and other treatment methods have been reported, the current treatment modality has not reached a consensus. This study discusses the diagnosis and treatment of a case of PSCCT with severe respiratory stenosis and endotracheal invasion and reviews the relevant literature.
