Anomalies of the urogenital sinus, which is a transient feature of the early human embryological development, are rare birth defects. Urogenital sinus abnormalities commonly present as pelvic masses, hydrometrocolpos, or ambiguous genitalia and most commonly occur within the context of congenital adrenal hyperplasia. The authors report on a newborn girl with complex urogenital and hindgut abnormalities. Urogenital anomalies consisted of absence of vulva and vagina, uterine and urethral atresias, bladder agenesis with ectopic ureteric opening, and bilateral pelvic ectopic kidneys. In addition, the baby had anorectal atresia without fistula as a hindgut anomaly. Herein, clinical evaluation and embryological review are made to explain the concomitant occurrence of these rare malformations.

TF from REV-challenged spleens was more effective in reducing REV excretion through the cloaca and showed greater advantages in inhibiting REV replication in organs such as the spleen and thymus. The urachus is a tubular structure that is apparent on the third week and connects the ventral cloaca to the yolk sac, as a progression from the allantois. Following the normal regression procedure, the urachus remains as the median umbilical ligament. Fecal incontinence is still a frequent postoperative sequelae in dealing with high rectal anomalies. Posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSAR … o surround them by striated muscle, reconstruction of levator mechanism, and repair of a persistent cloaca in one case. Postoperative assessment included a clinical as well as manometric and radiological evaluation. There were excellent results in five patients. Three patients showed significant improvement, including one patient with no sacrum.
