We report four patients who had glaucoma in association with the Maroteaux-Lamy syndrome. INTRODUCTION: Glaucoma is characterised by progressive optic neuropathy and peripheral visual field loss. It affects 1% to 2% of white people aged over 40 years and accounts for 8% of new blind registrations in the UK. We classified 331 glaucoma patients who visited the eye clinic of the Third Affiliated Hospital of China Medical College during the 2 year period from January 1985 to December 1986 according to the type of glaucoma.
