PURPOSE: Controversy arises regarding the optimal management of patients with nonseminomatous germ cell tumor (NSGCT) who achieve a serologic and radiographic complete remission (CR) to systemic chemotherapy. BACKGROUND: The tick-borne flavivirus, Kyasanur Forest disease virus (KFDV) causes seasonal infections and periodic outbreaks in south-west India. The current vaccine offers poor protection with reported issues of coverage and immunogenicity. We have developed peptide mimetics of gamma interferon (IFN-gamma) that play a direct role in the activation and nuclear translocation of STAT1alpha transcription factor.
