At its onset, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) commonly presents with generalized myalgia and upper respiratory symptoms. COVID-19 presenting as acalculous cholecystitis has been rarely described in the literature. The following case presents a patient whose first presentation of COVID-19 was acalculous cholecystitis without respiratory symptoms, critical illness, or severe COVID-19 infection.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is known mainly by the severe acute respiratory syndrome, with myalgia as a common clinical symptom. Recent reports described musculoskeletal complications related to COVID-19 such as myositis, neuropathy and arthropathy. Radiologists and ordering physicians should be aware of lower limb complications following severe COVID-19 for optimal patient care.

We present a case of Cogan's syndrome in childhood presenting with arthralgia, myalgia, anorexia, uveitis, aortic regurgitation, and intermittent fever and who responded well to corticosteroid therapy and successful valvular replacement. The extensive diagnostic methods and a review of the literature are covered and intended to familiarize pediatricians with this rare but treatable disorder.

Craniofacial pain of myofascial origin is a common chronic disorder. When the pain is unilateral and located periauricularly, masticatory myalgia is likely. Tension-type headache is usually bilateral and affects the upper part of the head. The possible interrelationship with generalized myofascial disorders are discussed. Practical approaches to history-taking, diagnosis, and treatment are suggested.

INTRODUCTION: The muscle disorder known as myopathy with myalgia, increased serum levels of creatine kinase, and with or without episodic rhabdomyolysis-1 (MMCKR1) (MIM: 620138) is a MLIP-related myopathy characterized by muscle cramps and stiffness on exertion with a variable age at onset, cardiac involvement, episodic spikes of high levels of CK, and rhabdomyolysis.
