Histological, histochemical and ultrastructural studies were done on soft tissue surrounding alloarthroplastic joints. In 38 cases a prosthesis of the hip joint and in 2 cases of the knee had to be exchanged and replaced. In most of the cases the reoperation became necessary because the anchoring of the prosthetic parts in the bone loosened. BACKGROUND: To analyze the outcomes of two different patch materials during femoral endarterectomies (FEA).
METHODS: It is a ingle center, observational, retrospective cohort study. We identified all patients operated between January 1st, 2016-December 31st, 2023. An exact match analysis was used to identify two groups based on the type of patch: pericardial, and dacron. We describe an infant with pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum and right ventricle-dependent coronary circulation and a left ventricle apical aneurysm who successfully underwent the Dor procedure and a subsequent Fontan operation. Surgery for postinfarction left ventricle aneurysm can be considered in infants.

Frontalis suspension procedure using a Mersilene mesh sling was performed on 23 ptotic eyelids of 22 patients (age range 3 to 35 years) with poor or absent levator function.
