A new approach for the management of the short-pedicled undescended testicle is presented. It was used in four patients with the testicle lying deep to the internal inguinal ring after all methods of cord elongation failed to bring the testicle down to the scrotum. The technique consists of passing the testicle through the obturator foramen to the scrotum. No complications were encountered, and the results have been satisfactory. Polyorchidism, the presence of more than two testes, is a very rare anomaly. We report the color Doppler ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging findings of the case of a 20-year-old man with polyorchidism, presenting with an asymptomatic scrotal mass. A male patient in his seventh decade underwent elective open right inguinal hernia repair. Intraoperatively, we discovered complete spermatic cord duplication-two separate structures, each containing a vas deferens and neurovascular bundle. Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for prostate cancer is a generally well-tolerated treatment but can rarely lead to complications such as fistula formation. We report a 69-year-old male on maintenance ibrutinib for chronic lymphocytic leukemia who developed a fistula between his bladder and vas deferens in the setting of ascending scrotal infection. A woman with unusually mild cystic fibrosis (CF) and normal sweat chloride levels is reported to have delta F508 deletion on one CF chromosome and the rare mutation R347H on the other, the first known female with this mutation. The Mitrofanoff principle has been used to achieve clean intermittent catheterisation (CIC) and urinary continence in 28 children. The mean age at operation was 10.1 years (range, 1 to 19 years). A catheterisable conduit was created using the appendix (19), ureter (8), or vas deferens (1). CIC was commenced 10 to 28 days postoperatively (median, 15 days). Congenital absence of the vas deferens is the primary cause of azoospermia in men with cystic fibrosis [CF]. In some there may also be an abnormality in spermatogenesis and sperm maturation.
