OBJECTIVES: To report our experience with eosinophilic cystitis (EC) presented as invasive bladder cancer.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: We recently treated three patients with bladder masses mimicking neoplasms and biopsy proved the diagnosis of EC. Data from our three patients were presented.

The authors report two cases of pelvic lipomatosis associated with glandular cystitis. This is a rare disease with variable and nonspecific clinical features. Complementary investigations useful for the diagnosis of pelvic lipomatosis are CT and especially MRI, intravenous urography and biopsies. The clinical features, radiological findings and therapeutic approach are discussed in the light of a review of the literature.

We report a case of eosinophilic cystitis the onset of which was characterized by acute peritonitis secondary to a spontaneous intraperitoneal rupture of the vesical cupula. The patient was treated with urgent partial cystectomy in another hospital and 3 months later he underwent endoscopic diathermic coagulation of a residual inflammatory lesion at our institution. In an open randomized study pivmecillinam (Selexid; CAS 32886-97-8) was studied by general practitioners in 345 female patients with uncomplicated acute cystitis.
