The surgical removal of impacted third molars is the most common procedure performed by maxillofacial surgeons. Only a few cases of ectopic third molars in the condyle have been reported. Most have been treated using an extra-oral or endoscopic approach. The management of this condition using an intra-oral approach (removal of this tooth and maintaining the anatomy of the condyle) is described in two case reports.

The case of a 29-year-old patient who underwent invitro fertilization due to secondary sterility, after a spontaneous but molar pregnancy, is described. Afterwards there was no spontaneous conception for five years. BACKGROUND: Overeruption of an upper molar following loss of the opposing tooth is a common clinical finding. Rehabilitation can be difficult when the interocclusal space is reduced.
AIM: To intrude an overerupted upper first molar and replace the missing lower first molar.
METHODS: Buccal and palatal microscrews and a transpalatal bar were placed. The palatal miniscrew loosened shortly after implantation and was not replaced. A short length of elastomeric chain from the buccal miniscrew applied 30 g of force to the overerupted molar. The elastomeric chain was replaced every four weeks.

The United Kingdom Childhood Cancer Study (UKCCS) is a national multi-centre case-control study that was designed to evaluate the potential aetiological role of prenatal events in childhood cancer.
