Removal and degradation of microplastics are often carried out separately. In this work, hydrophilic bare Fe3 O4 nanoaggregates allowed efficient removal of the most common microplastics including high-density polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, and polyethylene terephthalate. OBJECTIVES: To discuss risk factors and describe laparoscopic management of an unusual late complication of sacrocolpopexy mesh erosion resulting in enterocervical fistula after supracervical hysterectomy and robotic sacrocervicopopexy.
CASE: We report on a unique case of a long-term mesh complication after robotic supracervical hysterectomy and polypropylene mesh sacrocervicopexy. Four years after the procedure, the patient was found to have mesh extrusion through the cervical os as well as mesh erosion into the sigmoid colon with a connecting enterocervical fistula.

We report an unusual case of a patient with strangulated Meckel diverticulum in a femoral hernia. A 65-year-old woman presented with a nonradiating, constant pain in the right groin with associated nausea and anorexia. Physical examination revealed a tender, irreducible lump in the right groin area. At operation, a hernia sac containing a strangulated Meckel diverticulum was clearly recognized going through the femoral ring. This study evaluates a novel biodegradable magnesium (Mg) mesh for abdominal wall repair. Current synthetic meshes present clinical limitations, while Mg alloys offer favorable mechanical properties and biodegradability that remain underexplored.
