Our aim was to explore the clinical application value of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy for tubal pregnancy. Forty hospitalized patients with tubal pregnancies (28 cases of non-ruptured tubal pregnancy and 12 cases of ruptured tubal pregnancy) were selected to receive HIFU therapy. We describe the prenatal sonographic findings in a case of Klippel-Trénaunay-Weber syndrome including fetal ascites and subcutaneous cystic lesions associated with a relatively low level of maternal serum alpha-fetoprotein and a relatively high level of maternal serum beta-human chorionic gonadotrophin. Klippel-Trénaunay-Weber syndrome may present prenatally with fetal ascites and an abnormal maternal serum screening result in addition to fetal limb hypertrophy and subcutaneous cystic lesions.

The aim of this study was to explain possible relationships in cases of ectopic pregnancy between sonographic endometrial features and treatment outcome following methotrexate (MTX) injection. A total of 157 cases of unruptured tubal pregnancy were diagnosed and treated systemically with MTX. Cervical pregnancy (CP) is an uncommon ectopic pregnancy that accounts for approximately less than 1% of extrauterine gestations. This case report describes a case of a viable ectopic CP successfully treated with systemic methotrexate therapy combined with hysteroscopic local endocervical resection of the heterotopic gestational sac. This approach, if validated, could be considered the treatment of choice to preserve the uterus in these young patients.

The incidence of ectopic pregnancy in the United States has been reported to be as high as 20 per 1000 pregnancies, a more than 4-fold increase over the last 20 years. Clinical presentation can range from subtle, nonspecific abdominal complaints to acute onset pain or hemorrhagic bleeding. This article reviews the associated risk factors, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of ectopic pregnancy. Clinicians must maintain a high index of suspicion whenever women who might be pregnant have abdominal complaints.

We report on a 31-year-old II gravida I para treated because of a hydatidiform mole, hyperthyroidism and acute renal failure in the 16th week of pregnancy.
