Gastric ulcer is a multi-step disease and healing requires a complex process including repair and re-architecture of gastric mucosa with the involvement of molecular events. Oropouche virus (OROV), of the family Bunyaviridae, is the second most frequent arbovirus causing febrile disease in Brazil. In spite of this, little is known about pathogenesis of OROV infection. BACKGROUND: Uncontrolled aortic aneurysms can progress to aortic dissection (AD), a severe vascular disorder characterized by hematoma formation in the aortic wall, with inflammation playing a crucial role. Galectin-3 (Gal-3), a 26-kDa lectin, regulates many aspects of inflammatory cell behavior. Inhibition of Gal-3 ameliorates diabetic neuroinflammation and cardiomyopathy. Lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) is commonly caused by ligamentum flavum hypertrophy (LFH), yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.
