We report a very rare case of ileo-abdominal fistula caused by penetration of the ileal diverticulum. Small bowel diverticulosis is generally considered to be an innocuous condition. In this report, we describe a case of ileal diverticulitis associated with an abdominal wall abscess.

Surgical repair of enterocutaneous fistulae in Crohn's disease may result in large skin defects of the anterior abdominal wall. We present a case in which a large defect was managed with reconstruction using a pedicled rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap in a single procedure. The case highlights the technical challenge of such a case and the value of a joint surgical approach between plastic and colorectal services.

Herein we describe a case of enterovesical fistula in a patient with Crohn's disease that presented exclusively as urinary symptoms. The patient had no known history of GI disorders. The clinical features, natural history and treatment of enterovesical fistula in Crohn's disease are discussed.

Two cases of diverticular abscess presented with abdominal pain, pelvic mass and vaginal discharge. Both patients had previously undergone hysterectomy. Although relatively rare, colovaginal fistula secondary to diverticular disease should be considered in the differential diagnosis in an elderly woman with similar symptoms.

Colovaginal fistula is infrequently encountered in gynecologic practice, but, when it does occur, diverticular disease is the most common cause. This paper discusses current concepts in etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with colovaginal fistula secondary to diverticular disease. Review of the literature reveals that a majority of patients have a history of hysterectomy and are primarily diagnosed by barium enema. The current trend in treatment is surgical correction with primary resection and anastomosis.

A 23-year-old male with an 87 per cent body surface area burn from a motor vehicle accident developed a left lower quadrant abdominal wall faecal fistula. This fistula presumably resulted from thermal injury to the level of the peritoneum. This case report describes the course and management of this unusual occurrence.

A 59-year-old man was hospitalized with complaints of diarrhea and pollakisuria. Retrograde urethrography, urethroscopy and urethral pressure profile revealed a fistula between the urethra and the rectum situated immediately above the external urethral sphincter. Surgical repair was performed by an abdominal approach. Following the total prostatectomy, the fistula was completely resected under direct vision. A 43-year-old woman was admitted on October 6, 1987 with the chief complaint of fecaluria, pneumaturia and miction pain. She had been diagnosed as Crohn's disease in March, 1987. The Authors describe two cases of "double pylorus" came to their observation. Such name mean the presence of a peri-pyloric gastro-duodenal fistula carrying out a second duct which lead in communication the gastric antrum with the upper part of duodenal bulb. Because of rarity of this pathology (58 cases are described in the literature) its frequency are usually undervalved, as well since the clinic no presents a special features in comparison with other diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract.
