BACKGROUND: Transmyocardial laser revascularization (TMLR) is advocated to offer relief of incapacitating angina for patients whose coronary vessels are poor targets for coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) or balloon angioplasty and stenting. In the present work we describe the management of hypertrophied inferior turbinates using CO(2) laser in the UniPulse mode. The laser beam is delivered through the nasal probe delivery system, and the procedure is performed using the 0 degrees endoscope. Purpose: Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) is a new technique aimed to developed to impact pigmented trabecular cells selectively. Compared with ordinary argon laser trabeculoplasty, it is expected to have fewer complications with more efficacy for open-angle glaucoma.
