PURPOSE: The purpose of this case report was to demonstrate evidence of indocyanine green angiography leakage consistent with choroiditis in a patient with scleroderma.
METHODS: In this case report, the patient underwent a variety of tests and examinations, including systemic evaluation, full ocular examination, skin biopsy, indocyanine green, and fluorescein angiography testing. Binocular vision was tested in 106 pseudophakic patients 1 week after unilateral implantation of a Simcoe posterior chamber lens with 10 degrees angled haptics. Binocular functions are resumed immediately after surgery. Visual acuity, or rather the difference in visual acuity between the right and left eyes is mainly responsible for the quality of binocular vision. In this article, we report a single centers experience of using handheld spectral domain (SD)-OCT in a pediatric population using the Envisu 2300 (Bioptigen Inc., Research Triangle Park, NC, USA).

SIGNIFICANCE: Charles Bonnet syndrome is commonly encountered and diagnosed in low-vision patients. It can be distressing for some of them, as there is no known effective treatment of this condition. Unimpaired near vision is crucial in dentistry, but appropriate visual tests at dental working distance are not publicly available. The aim of this study was to validate a novel visual triage test for dentists that is easy to use and freely available. The near visual acuity at 300 mm of 106 dental professionals (aged 21-65 years) was assessed with 1) a validated near visual test for scientific purposes miniaturized on a microfilm; 2) an experimental test using a US $5 bill, in which the first five words of each line in the Lincoln Memorial frieze had to be read under a dental operating light.
