OBJECTIVE: To describe a case of recurrent chyluria and review the diagnostic and therapeutic methods.
METHODS/RESULTS: A case of non parasitic recurrent chyluria is presented. Retrograde pyelography demonstrated pyelolymphatic reflux. The patient presented chemical pyelitis secondary to the contrast medium which caused remission of the condition.

We present the case of a 79-year-old man with long-term lower urinary tract obstruction managed with a coudé tip urethral catheter, who had an incidental finding of posterior bladder wall erosion diagnosed at cystoscopy for prostate enucleation. The posterior bladder wall erosion was treated conservatively. This rare but serious complication highlights the potential risk of prolonged use of rigid, curved-tip catheters and the need for careful catheter selection and regular reassessment in patients requiring long-term indwelling urinary drainage.

A man in his 50s with an intellectual disability underwent a cystostomy for neurogenic bladder, followed by regular catheter exchange. Eighteen years later, the patient developed hematuria. Colorectal cancer is a common cancer worldwide. The major sites of colorectal cancer metastasis are the liver, lungs, peritoneum, lymph nodes, and bones. However, secondary localization in the bladder is extremely rare. Herein, we present the case of a 36-year-old patient who underwent surgery for colonic adenocarcinoma. Subsequently, the patient presented total hematuria during adjuvant chemotherapy. Cystoscopy and biopsy identified a bladder metastasis. In our discussion, we aim to delve into the distinct characteristics of bladder metastases originating from digestive neoplasms.

Detrusor-external sphincter dyssynergia (DSD) is a debilitating problem in patients with spinal cord injury. DSD carries a high risk of complications, and even life expectancy can be affected. Management of this condition includes the use of antimuscarinic agents in combination with intermittent catheterization, indwelling urethral catheterization, suprapubic catheterization, and a variety of surgical options, depending on patient and physician preference. This paper will review the current literature and data on minimally invasive and endoscopic management of DSD.
