Protocol for a scoping review of the use of information and communication technology platforms for the delivery and utilisation of transgender healthcare.

INTRODUCTION: In recent years, there has been strong interest in making digital health and social tools more accessible, particularly among vulnerable and stigmatised groups such as transgender people. While transgender people experience unique physical, mental and sexual health needs, not much is currently known about the extent to which they use information and communication technologies such as short messaging service and videoconferencing to access health services. In this paper, we discuss our protocol for a scoping review of the literature about the delivery and utilisation of digitally

Is there any (emotional) difference between seeing art in the museum vs. in the lab? A comparative study of phenomenal art experiences of original artworks and digital reproductions.

INTRODUCTION: In the current post-digital age, technology is omnipresent in our everyday lives and digital encounters with (even originally analog) art are increasingly pervasive. Museums, artists, and art professionals continue to utilize digital technologies in their practices, and both access to and awareness of digital platforms continue to expand. In spite of this, little is known about how experiences with digital reproductions on a computer actually compare to original artworks in a museum, especially regarding viewers' global, felt-experiences. Previous investigations of digital art ex

Mapping inequities in digital health transformation within Ethiopia's primary health care system using PROGRESS-plus: Scoping review.

OBJECTIVES: Digital health technologies (DHTs) are recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as essential to achieving Universal Health Coverage, yet major equity gaps persist in low-resource settings such as Ethiopia. This scoping review applies the PROGRESS-Plus framework to examine how overlapping social identities (e.g., gender, residence, and income) shape inequities in access to, use of, and engagement with DHTs in Ethiopia's primary healthcare (PHC) system. METHODS: Following Arksey and O'Malley's framework enhanced by Levac et al. and reported using PRISMA-ScR 2020 guidelines.

Challenges in and opportunities for individualising diabetes technology: a position statement by the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Diabetes Technology Working Group.

From fingerstick blood glucose monitoring and mechanical insulin pens in the 1970s to modern automated insulin delivery systems, rapidly progressing advances in diabetes technology are transforming management options for people with diabetes, particularly those with type 1 diabetes but also, increasingly, people with type 2 diabetes. However, access to life-changing diabetes technologies is neither uniform nor universally covered, and there is no one size fits all approach. In this position statement, we emphasise to healthcare professionals the importance of supporting individuals with diabet

Language Services for Older Adults in China: Evidence from Administrative Enterprise Registration Data and Policy Implications.

Population aging and digital-by-default public service delivery make communication access a policy determinant of equitable aging. In China, dialect diversity, sensory decline, and low digital literacy can prevent older adults from understanding information and navigating health and social services. Yet the provider ecosystem that could deliver language support and age-friendly communication technologies remains poorly measured. This study maps the supply-side dynamics of China's Language Services for Older Adults (LSOA) industry - enterprises offering language-based interventions and communic

Digital Health for Patients With Multiple Myeloma: An Unmet Need.

Multiple myeloma (MM) is associated with the highest symptom burden and lowest health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among patients with hematologic malignancies. HRQoL in MM is heterogeneous, varying over the course of disease, with the highest burden at diagnosis and relapse. Patients with MM are increasingly being treated with oral maintenance medications at home. As a result, longitudinal monitoring of medication adherence and patient-reported outcomes, including HRQoL, could inform on disease status, therapeutic tolerability, and satisfaction with care. Digital health technologies, inclu

Alcohol Problems and Emotion Dysregulation as Predictors of Digital Dating Abuse Perpetration Among College Students.

BACKGROUND: In an increasingly digital world, young people are becoming more vulnerable to an emerging form of intimate partner violence, termed digital dating abuse, where technology facilitates abusive behaviors. Though prior studies suggest that alcohol use/problems and emotion dysregulation are predictors of digital dating abuse, findings on whether these associations vary by gender are mixed. OBJECTIVE: We explored associations among alcohol use/problems, emotion dysregulation, and gender on 3 types of digital dating abuse perpetration: digital coercion (eg, pressuring for explicit image

Assessing digital vasculopathy in systemic sclerosis.

Digital vasculopathy (a spectrum of Raynaud's phenomenon, digital ulceration and critical ischaemia) is one of the most characteristic manifestations of systemic sclerosis (SSc). It is an area of unmet need with a major impact on quality of life: current treatments are only poorly effective. SSc-related digital vasculopathy is a result of structural as well as functional change at the level of both the microcirculation and the digital artery, explaining its severity. This review begins with a brief description of digital vasculopathy, followed by its assessment in the clinical setting, relevan

Digital detection of proteins.

This paper reviews methods for detecting proteins based on molecular digitization, i.e., the isolation and detection of single protein molecules or singulated ensembles of protein molecules. The single molecule resolution of these methods has resulted in significant improvements in the sensitivity of immunoassays beyond what was possible using traditional "analog" methods: the sensitivity of some digital immunoassays approach those of methods for measuring nucleic acids, such as the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The greater sensitivity of digital protein detection has resulted in immuno-dia
