Muscular sarcoidosis is rarely symptomatic and mainly affects proximal muscles of the lower extremities. However, the distal localization in the upper extremities is rare. We used systematic approach to analyze all relevant literature review and we identified only three cases of muscular sarcoidosis of the upper extremities. Extravasation of intravenous contrast agents in the hand and forearm during computed tomography scanning is rising with the use of automated pressure injectors. The main concern in such a situation is progression to acute compartment syndrome and necrosis of the overlying skin. Management has been mainly nonsurgical comprising upper limb elevation and orthosis, with surgical techniques such as liposuction and saline evacuation mainly used for large volume (>50 mL) extravasations. We have developed a technique of multiple stab incisions and drainage for the treatment of contrast extravasations.

UNLABELLED: Our purpose was to review the clinical usefulness of the scratch collapse test (SCT) in the diagnosis of proximal entrapment of the median nerve in the forearm. Eighteen consecutive cases were reviewed. The diagnosis was based on the patient's symptoms and signs. The SCT was positive in the affected forearm in all clinical assessments before surgery and it was negative in all after median nerve release. An anatomical reason for nerve compression was identified in all cases at operation. The SCT is a useful tool for the diagnosis of the proximal entrapment of the median nerve.

Leiomyomas are benign tumours of smooth-muscle origin representing 4.4% of all benign soft-tissue neoplasms. They are classified as cutaneous, vascular and leiomyomas of deep soft tissues.
