Uterine fibroids are benign smooth muscle tumors of the uterus, are relatively common in reproductive-age women, and are associated with increasing maternal age. This case study details a 37-year-old female patient who was incidentally diagnosed with a larger lower segment fibroid during her first pregnancy scan and responded well to treatment, delivered by a cesarian due to transverse lie and lower uterine segment fibroid completely obstructing the birth canal.

Leiomyoma is a benign tumor that arises from smooth muscle. It may be encountered at any part of the body especially the uterus. However, scrotal localization is very uncommon, hence it often requires radiologic and pathology correlation to establish an accurate diagnosis and make optimal decisions for subsequent treatment. We present a case of an 82-years-old male, presenting with a left scrotal mass. Ultrasound and MRI demonstrated a left paratesticular mass. Surgery was then indicated and pathology results were consistent with a scrotal leiomyoma.

Most cases of adenomyosis are easily recognized by the presence of intramyometrial aggregates of endometrial glands and endometrial stromal cells surrounded by hypertrophic smooth muscle. Leiomyomas are benign smooth-muscle tumors that are common in the alimentary tract, uterus, skin, and subcutaneous tissue. They are very uncommon in the upper respiratory tract and rare in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. To the best of our knowledge, only 23 such cases have heretofore been published in the literature. We report 2 new cases of sinonasal leiomyoma that originated at different sites in the nasal cavity. We also discuss the various investigative and therapeutic modalities available.

Renal angiomyolipoma is an uncommon benign tumor composed of adipose tissue, dysplastic blood vessels and smooth muscle. The tumor may occur as a distinct entity or in association with tuberous sclerosis. The diagnosis is usually easy but a malignant neoplasm can not always be excluded. We report the case of a 52-year-old man with papillary adenocarcinoma arising in placentoid bullous lesion of the lung, which is a rare cystic lung disease. Macroscopically, the cyst contained a soft villous tumor closely resembling the placental chorionic villi of early gestation.
