This paper presents sequential histological, histochemical and biochemical changes in rat caput epididymis after a single 100 mg/kg oral dose of alpha chlorohydrin. Desquamation of caput epithelium occurs as early as two days after drug treatment. The caput epididymis is blocked because of accumulation of testicular fluid containing exfoliated immature testicular cells and caput epithelium. Sperm agglutinins emerging from the reopened part of the vas deferens were found in the seminal fluid of 10 out of 29 men after vasovasostomy. There was a strong association between the presence of these antibodies and the failure to impregnate over a period of 14 to 33 months. Of 20 couples, 11 pregnancies resulted among the 13 women whose men had no sperm agglutinins in the seminal fluid, but only 1 among the 7 whose men had such antibodies, 2p = 0.0044. UNLABELLED: We report on a couple who delivered three healthy babies in three deliveries after cryo-TESE combined with ICSI. The male patient suffers from congenital bilateral absence of the vas deferens (CBAVD).
METHODS: Three testicular sperm extraction (TESE) operations were performed in the male accompanied by six stimulated ICSI cycles in the female patient. Altogether, 59 oocytes were retrieved. Fifty-one oocytes (86%) were in metaphase II and 38 fertilized regularly (75%). Sixteen embryos, in the 3-6 cell stage, were transferred to the uterus.

Several alpha-adrenoreceptor antagonists were prepared by coupling one of the two moieties of WB 4101 (1) with one of the two moieties of prazosin (2). Orchiopexy by our method has given uniformly good results. We have had no direct nor indirect hernias after this dissection. We have had no complications attributable to the complete dissection we recommend. This dissection should give an increase in spermatic cord length averaging 6.5 centimeters. If the vas deferens is completely freed, an additional 2.5 centimeters of length is gained.
