Aducanumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting amyloid-beta, became the first disease-modifying treatment for mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer's disease (AD) and mild AD dementia and suggested that removing amyloid from the brain, especially in early AD, might make a difference in slowing cognitive decline.

Painful neuroma formation may form at the site of nerve transection and cause significant impairments in daily living. Ultrasound-guided cryoablation therapy has grown in popularity and should be considered in patients with painful neuromas.
