We report a patient who presented initially with a right lower quadrant mass which was attached to the anterior abdominal wall. The final pathological diagnosis was adenocarcinoma of the urachus, an exceedingly rare bladder tumor.

We present an original technique of bladder neck suspension through percutaneous vaginal suspension for stress urinary incontinence. We emphasize the advantages of this technique which permits a close control of the cervico-urethral angle and a symmetrical lifting of the bladder neck.

A case is reported of a large left ureterocele in a duplicated system at the expense of the upper renal pelvis. This ureterocele caused acute pyelonephritis and dilatation of both left systems. It was treated by a classic endoscopic incision of its roof but 18 months later, infecting vesico-renal, grade 2, reflux was developed. This secondary reflux was treated successfully by submeatal polytetrafluoroethylene's (Teflon) paste injection. This new combination of endoscopic techniques proved to be available in this case.

61 patients with a urinary stress incontinence of different degrees were examined by cysturethroscopy at a bladder volume of 300 ml in supine position and also by lateral urethrocystography in standing position. With increasing subjective stress incontinence, they showed an increasing dilation of the bladder neck in cysturethroscopy and lateral urethrocystography. At the same time the urethral closure pressure at the proximal urethra diminished. These observations offer new possibilities in the diagnosis of urinary stress incontinence.

Twenty-seven patients with proved urinary schistosomiasis and echographic bladder lesions were selected for cystoscopic examination and biopsy. All patients had specific lesions at cystoscopic investigation. Histologic examination confirmed diagnosis 26/27 cases. Ultrasonography appears as a very efficient method for detection of schistosomiasis bladder pseudo-tumors.

Description of a bladder-stone lithotriptor which works similarly to a punch resectoscope. This 24 French instrument can be used in simultaneously with electrohydraulic lithotripsy (Urat I), i.e., stones of the size of a cherry can be simply punched, while all larger stones may be destroyed first by electrohydraulic lithotripsy and then cut into smaller pieces for removal with the punch. The instrument, with irrigation qualities and a sight like a resectoscope, allows a quick operation, so that lithotripsy and TUR of the prostate may be performed opportunely.

Leiomyoma is a rare benign tumour of the urinary bladder. Typically, bladder leiomyomas are treated with transurethral resection, which yields favourable results. We present a clinical case of a 29-year-old man with a symptomatic bladder tumour, initially diagnosed on flexible cystoscopy and CT scan. A 70-year-old male underwent a Transurethral Resection of Prostate for the management of obstructive voiding symptoms. On cystoscopy, papillary frond-like lesions up to 2cm in size were encountered, overlying the right side of the prostatic urethra. Histopathology from the resection revealed clear cell adenocarcinoma (CCA) of the prostatic urethra.
