Seventy-six Staphylococcus aureus strains isolated from various lesions of horses were characterized. All of the 76 strains were identified as biotypes B (38.2%) and C (61.8%). Part I of this report deals with the topical use of cortisone in a variety of skin diseases. We herein describe an irregular case of toxic-shock syndrome (TSS). A previously healthy 28-year-old Japanese man developed a sudden-onset high fever. The efficacy and safety of infliximab in patients with plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, pustular psoriasis (excluding localized type) and psoriatic erythroderma were assessed in clinical practice.
