Monoclonal antibodies were raised against a laboratory derived variant of the Raji Burkitt lymphoma cell line. We have characterized two of these antibodies by screening on haematopoietic cell lines, and frozen sections of both reactive and neoplastic lymphoid tissue, and found reactivity with separate cellular components of lymphoid follicles. BACKGROUND: Prostate cancer is the second most common malignant tumor (13%) among male subjects in Poland. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of prostate cancer in a group of deceased liver donors.
METHODS: A total of 784 liver procurement attempts from deceased donors were performed in the Department of General, Transplant and Liver Surgery, Medical University of Warsaw, from January 1, 2012, to April 1, 2015; 700 grafts were actually used in a liver transplant. Primary neuroblastoma as a paratesticular tumor is extremely rare with only 8 described cases worldwide. Monoclonal antibodies have been obtained by fusing mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells of mice immunized with crude thyroid membranes. The authors studied a six-year-old girl with a cervical lymphoblastic lymphoma. Initial blood study results were within normal ranges, and no evidence of leukemia was found. Immunophenotype analysis of this lymphoma was consistent with a pre-B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
