Nevertheless, current VTs do not incorporate the unique properties of engineered adoptive cellular immunotherapies (eACIs). Here, we outline the minimal design specifications for VTs for engineered ACIs (eACI-VTs) to model the complex interplay between cell product and patient physiology.
