A 53-year-old female patient with pemphigus vulgaris under continuous immunosuppressive therapy for about 2 years presented a superficial spreading malignant melanoma on a pre-existing melanocytic naevus. After surgical removal of the inguinal lymph node group, a diffuse low-grade polymorphous immunocytoma was proved both histologically and immunocytochemically. The possible induction mechanisms are discussed.

A 21-year-old man with a history of an excised soft tissue mass of the groin and spotty cutaneous pigmentation underwent excision of nodules of the right lower and left upper eyelids. The patient subsequently had a cutaneous mass of the left ear removed. All excised lesions were classified as myxomas. A diagnosis of multiple myxoma, spotty pigmentation, and endocrine overactivity (Carney's) complex was made.

Nevus flammeus and nevus of Ota are commonly encountered dermatological conditions, but both individually, are only occasionally associated with glaucoma. The occurrence of isolated nevus flammeus along with nevus of Ota in the same patient is also extremely rare. We are presenting two unusual cases, both having a nevus of Ota, together with nevus flammeus and severe congenital glaucoma.

Presented here is the first case of bilateral ureteral polyps in a patient under eighteen years of age, with vivid colored intraoperative photographs. The importance of careful identification of the base of the polyp to reduce operative morbidity and the necessity of ureteral reanastomosis rather than simple excision of the polyp in children is emphasized.

Malignant schwannoma of the small intestine is rare and diagnosis often late. Histologic distinction from fibrosarcoma and leiomyosarcoma may require electron microscopy. The primary treatment is surgical. Close postoperative observation is recommended because of the tendency to recurrence. Remission after chemotherapy has been reported, but without controlled studies. The 5-year survival rate is unknown. Two cases are presented.

A 55-year-old male was admitted with fever, productive cough and dyspnea for a month. Chest X-ray revealed infiltration in the right lower lung field and right pleural effusion. Attention has long been drawn on the multi-organ involvement of urothelial malignancies both by urologists and pathologists. Urothelial malignancies did occur occasionally in several urinary organs within the same patient. From 1951 to 1986, 12,553 patients were admitted to our urological department, among them 1,213 had urothelial tumors. There were renal pelvic tumors in 130, ureteral in 93, bladder in 925 and urethral in 65. We measured any single individual of the paired-organ, the pelvis or ureter as a single organ. We experienced a case of bilateral retroperitoneal tumor incidentally on CT which was carried out on suspicion of either cholelithiasis or choledocholithiasis. In company with other radiologic studies, US, angiography etc. we were able to make a correct diagnosis of adrenal myelolipoma preoperatively. Among these studies, CT coincided well with the structure of pathological findings and is thus the most powerful method for the diagnosis of myelolipoma. The case was discussed in addition to the studies of other literatures.

The first case of two separate tumors of the tongue, one cartilaginous and the other osteocartilaginous, is reported. The cartilaginous matrix of these two tumors contained elastic fibers and type II collagen. The histogenesis of these tumors is discussed.

Nine patients with multiple hereditary osteochondromata underwent ankle surgery for valgus deformity. The indications for operation included pain from trauma of the prominent masses, pain in the ankle joint associated with the deformity, limited ankle motion, and undesirable cosmesis. The procedures included excision of osteochondromata, fibular lengthening, and medial tibial hemiepiphyseal retardation by inserting staples. The purpose of this paper is to report our analysis of four generations of a family with congenital strictures of the lower esophagus associated with leiomyoma of the gastrointestinal tract. Two members of the family died of sarcomatous degeneration of the leiomyoma and one is still alive 2 years after resection of the malignancy. A 66-year-old female with bilateral ureteral tumors associated with chronic renal failure is presented. She received pan-hysterectomy due to uterine cancer in 1957. She was first referred to our clinic to make internal shunt under a diagnosis of chronic renal failure.
