We reported a case of sigmoid colon cancer with horseshoe kidney. A 79-year-old man had lower abdominal pain and underwent colonoscopy. The results of colonoscopy revealed sigmoid cancer. Preoperative computed tomography revealed horseshoe kidney. He underwent radical laparoscopic surgery. The histopathological diagnosis was pStage Ⅱa(The 9th Edition). INTRODUCTION: In 2018, we described a robotic natural orifice-assisted left-sided colorectal resection with intracorporeal anastomosis and transrectal extraction of the specimen and termed it the natural orifice intracorporeal anastomosis with transrectal extraction procedure. More recently, we have explored the feasibility, safety, and utility of performing total handsewn intracorporeal anastomosis. We report a case of advanced sigmoid colon cancer resected via laparoscopic surgery after preoperative chemotherapy. A- 55-year-old man visited our hospital with diarrhea. CTrevealed a giant tumor in the sigmoid colon, and surrounding lymph node enlargement was also noted. The tumor appeared to be locally advanced; thus, preoperative chemotherapy was started. Bacteremia by streptococci that normally inhabit the gastrointestinal tract has been associated with colon carcinoma. Such association is best known for Streptococcus bovis, but has also been reported for other streptococci. In the present communication a patient is described who presented with Streptococcus sanguis bacteremia and was subsequently found to suffer from an adenocarcinoma of the sigmoid. A possible association between bacteremia by commensal streptococci of both the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract and colon carcinoma is discussed.

We report a case of perforated adenocarcinoma of the sigmoid colon in an inguinal hernia presenting as Fournier's gangrene. Bowel perforation has been known to cause this disease but, to our knowledge, perforation in an inguinal hernia due to benign or malignant disease has not been reported elsewhere. Gastrointestinal tract perforation should be sought as a potential etiology in patients with necrotizing fasciitis of the genitalia. When such a perforation exists occult malignancy should be ruled out.
