PURPOSE: We have done a retrospective study of juvenile toxoplasmic uveitis cases hospitalized between 1993-2002.
MATERIAL AND METHOD: 96 juvenile uveitis were available and 21 cases were diagnosed with juvenile toxoplasmic uveitis.
RESULTS: In this study we have analyzed the distribution of cases per year, each of them was investigated by functional and objective ocular examinations, laboratory tests and treatment.

We report the case of a 66-year-old patient treated for 13 months with brimonidine, who presented granulomatous anterior uveitis associated with an increase in intraocular pressure, allergic conjunctivitis and blepharitis in both eyes. No ocular or general cause for uveitis was found. The uveitis responded rapidly to cessation of brimonidine. This report illustrates that anterior uveitis can occur when brimonidine is used after approximately 1 year of treatment. Equine recurrent uveitis (ERU) is the most serious eye disease in horses worldwide. Despite the fact that ERU is generally considered to be immune mediated, a detailed description of the histopathology of the posterior part of ERU eyes is lacking. PURPOSE: To report a case of bilateral multifocal choroiditis secondary to tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis.
METHODS: Case report. A 16-year-old women with an 11-month history of tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis and bilateral anterior uveitis developed bilateral multifocal choroiditis. After initial unsuccessful treatment with topical steroids, treatment was augmented by a 2-week course of systemic prednisone.

The CREST syndrome is a variant form of progressive systemic sclerosis. Apart from the occurrence of keratoconjunctivitis sicca, other types of ocular involvement associated with this variant are quite rare.
