The clinical and morphologic findings in the case of a 47-year-old man with fibrosing mediastinitis, most probably due to histoplasmosis, are described. Nuclear medicine imaging techniques are being more widely applied to study a variety of lung injuries. Validity of regional blood flow (rCBF) measurements recorded over the human posterior fossa after 133Xe inhalation was tested.
