The primitive endometrioid carcinoma of the fallopian tube is exceptional. Only three cases have been reported in the literature. Cystadenofibromas of the fallopian tube are rare tumors of the female genital tract. These tumors are usually asymptomatic and are found incidentally. The authors present an incidentally found fallopian serous cystadenofibroma in a 48-year-old woman with leiomyoma uteri. The topographic localization of the lesion, histopathologic findings of müllerian-type epithelium, immunophenotypic profile of vimentin-cytokeratin coexpression, and diffuse apical epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) immunoreactivity suggested that the tumor was an embryologic remnant originating from the müllerian duct.

We report a case of fallopian tube cancer that developed in a woman with a germ-line BRCA1 mutation. The notable feature of this case was the extremely rapid growth of the cancer, which precluded early diagnosis. Preventive gynecologic surgery in BRCA1/2 mutation carriers should probably always include bilateral salpingectomy.

PURPOSE: To test the feasibility of performing transcervical fallopian tube occlusion in a rabbit model with use of unipolar radiofrequency … abbits, but there was no tissue damage to adjacent organs. Histologic findings in the contralateral fallopian tubes were normal in all 20 rabbits.
CONCLUSION: Transcatheter RF electrocoagulation proved to be a safe nonsurgical alternative for occlusion of the fallopian tubes in rabbits.

A case with fallopian tube prolapse was managed by a combined vaginal and laparoscopic approach and description of the operative technique is presented. CASE PRESENTATION: A 39-year-old woman with vaginal prolapse of the fallopian tube after total abdominal hysterectomy presented with an incorrect diagnosis of adenocarcinoma of the vaginal apex. Medical records of patients diagnosed with primary fallopian tube carcinoma between 1979 and 1989 were reviewed. A vascularly perfused preparation of the Fallopian tube has been developed as a model to study the formation and composition of human tubal fluid. An artery serving the tube was cannulated and perfused at a rate of 0.7 ml/min for 1 h with Medium 199 supplemented with bovine serum albumin, heparin and antibiotics. The effectiveness of selective tubal cannulation using a simple and inexpensive tubal insemination catheter was evaluated in 23 infertile patients with cornual obstruction demonstrated by hysterosalpingography.
