Plasma membrane rupture (PMR) is the final cataclysmic event in lytic cell death. PMR releases intracellular molecules known as damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) that propagate the inflammatory response1-3. The underlying mechanism of PMR, however, is unknown. INTRODUCTION: Eosinophilic angiocentric fibrosis (EAF) is a rare lesion that predominantly affects the upper respiratory tract. Its etiology is unknown and it has been recently associated with the IgG4- related disease (IgG4-RD) spectrum. BACKGROUND: Acquired hemophilia A is a rare autoimmune disease with clinically often significant bleeding diathesis resulting from circulating autoantibodies inhibiting coagulation factor VIII. Half of acquired hemophilia A cases are associated with an underlying disorder, such as autoimmune diseases, cancer, or use of certain drugs, or occur during pregnancy and in the postpartum period.
