Surgical technique and instrumentation of laparoscopic lymphadenectomy continue to undergo improvements. A major concern, however, is whether or not the retroperitoneum is adequately exposed. We developed a technique using straight needles to suspend the round ligament and posterior peritoneum. It gives good exposure with little injury to surrounding tissues. The procedure is easy to perform and requires only 3 to 5 minutes, making laparoscopic lymphadenectomy easier.

Canine deciduoma could be induced in the diestrous uterus by an intrauterine inoculation of a culture suspension of E. coli originally isolated from naturally occurring canine pyometra. These deciduomas had the same histological findings as those of naturally occurring canine pyometra with so called "Swiss cheese endometrium". This suggests a possibility that the canine pyometra is a kind of naturally occurring decidual reaction (deciduoma) induced by one of several triggers such as bacterial infection.

OBJECTIVE: To perform bladder neck suspension simultaneously with augmentation cystoplasty in female patients where sphincteric incompetence was not the sole cause of impaired functional bladder capacity.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: During an 8-year-period, 26 female patients (mean age 14, range 5-39) were treated with a Marshall-Marchetti plus cystoplasty (Liverpool) or a colposuspension plus clam cystoplasty (Sheffield). All had marked sphincteric incompetence compounded by detrusor hyper-reflexia and/or non-compliance. The patients were followed up for a mean period of 30 months (range 8-80).
