BACKGROUND: The role of adjuvant chemotherapy has not yet been established for patients with resected biliary tract cancer. S-1 has been shown to exert activity against advanced biliary tract cancer. Article dwells on comparison data about motor function of the stomach in the three groups of patients: with gastric erosions and biliary tract diseases, duodenal ulcer disease, chronic gastritis. It is shown, that patients with gastric erosions and biliary tract diseases are characterized by slower evacuation function of the stomach, hypotonus of the stomach. We present an initial report regarding the clinical usefulness of peroral cholangioscopy, using a new type of cholangioscope, the Polyscope. From 1979 to 1996, 32 patients underwent at least right hepatic lobectomy with pancreatoduodenectomy (right HPD) for advanced carcinoma of the biliary tract at our institute. Generalized pustular psoriasis is a rare form of psoriasis that is sometimes associated with extracutaneous manifestations. Evidence for biliary involvement has been suggested in isolated cases. We investigated the prevalence and nature of liver abnormalities occurring in this disease.
