Seventy-five patients attending a clinic for chronic prostatitis were evaluated by use of lower urinary tract localization cultures. The study objective was to isolate and identify Salmonella with rapid culture method. Meat samples and cloacal swabs were collected from different markets and different farms. The swabs were transported to the laboratory for further analysis.
