OBJECTIVE: To report a rare case of silicone lymphadenopathy solely affecting the left supraclavicular lymph nodes.
CASE REPORT: Our patient presented with a painless swelling in the left supraclavicular region. Notably, she had previously undergone cosmetic breast augmentation using silicone-containing implants. Radiological imaging and subsequent excisional biopsy of the swelling produced findings consistent with a silicone foreign body reaction secondary to bilateral breast implant rupture.

Hydrophilic coatings are used on intravascular devices to facilitate ease of manipulation and to minimize complications such as thrombosis during a procedure and vasospasm after a procedure. We report a case of embolization of hydrophilic coating of a central venous catheter to the lung that resulted in cavitary lung nodules in a 34-year-old woman. The microscopic features of this unusual complication warrant emphasis so that pathologists will not overlook the embolic foreign material and make a faulty diagnosis of noniatrogenic granulomatous vasculitis.

We report a case of a swallowed partial denture in a 51-year-old man who presented with progressive dysphagia, odynophagia, and fevers. Imaging studies were initially interpreted as supraglottitis with laryngeal inflammation, which was confirmed by direct visualization with flexible endoscopy. Despite appropriate therapy, the patient's symptoms persisted and rigid laryngoscopy was performed, which revealed a partial denture in the hypopharynx and upper esophagus. The subtle imaging appearance of a swallowed denture is discussed.

The risk of penetration of vena cava filters through the wall of the vena cava is estimated to be as high as 25%, although clinical symptoms are observed far less frequently in patients with this complication. Due to the close relationship between vena cava and duodenum, the latter can be injured by dislocated filters. Hyaluronic acid filler use, user groups, and indications have expanded significantly in the past several years. This group of fillers is extremely safe in experienced hands. Complications are infrequent but can be devastating. There can be no substitution for recognized and specific training. CASE: We report a 39-year-old man with a supraspinatus retear treated with a Regeneten implant. Six months postoperatively, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed a foreign body lodged at the inferior acromion margin, causing acromial cupping, remodeling, and fibrosis. At the 12-month follow-up, the patient presented symmetrical strength and full range of motion with no pain.
