Metastases from transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder are not widely appreciated radiographically, although they are commonly found at autopsy. Radiographic evidence of metastatic disease was reviewed in 51 patients. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to review the thin-section CT findings in 32 immunocompromised patients without AIDS who had proven Cytomegalovirus pneumonia.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: The causes of immunocompromise included bone marrow (n = 25) or solid organ transplantation (n = 5) and corticosteroid therapy (n = 2). The patients included 16 men and 16 women ranging in age from 22 to 70 years (mean age, 43 years). We report a case of an unusual form of cutaneous tuberculosis in an 82-year-old woman. She visited our hospital because of an intractable ulcer on the fifth finger of her right hand. While examining the ulcer surrounding half of her right fifth finger and covered with necrotic tissue, we also perceived a nodule with crust on the forearm, multiple subcutaneous nodules on the right forearm and upper arm, and a hen's-egg-sized agglomerative nodule on the axilla.
