Neutropenic fever sepsis syndromes are common among patients with cancer who are receiving intensive cytotoxic systemic therapy. Recognition of the syndromes and timely initial antibacterial therapy is critical for survival and treatment success. Outcomes are linked to myeloid reconstitution and recovery from neutropenia, control of active comorbidities, and appropriate treatment of the infections that underlie the sepsis syndrome. Extraovarian granulosa cell tumors are rare with very few cases of isolated retroperitoneal granulosa cell tumors reported in the literature. Granulosa cell tumors are notorious for late recurrences and patients should have long term oncologic follow up. We describe a case of recurrent granulosa cell tumor of the retroperitoneum that originally presented as a renal mass, which has not been described before in the literature. Her management was delayed in part due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Oncologists must be vigilant regarding the consequences of postponed care during this difficult time.

The treatment of refractory meningiomas remains a challenge for both neurosurgeons and neuro-oncologists. There have been no clinical reports of the use or effects of anti-PD-1 therapy in patients with meningioma. We describe a patient whose intracranial meningioma decreased significantly in size after treatment with nivolumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting PD-1, for a concomitant advanced lung cancer. We present a case of a 76-year-old man who underwent a corrective femoral osteotomy for a varus deformity and stress fractures. The patient was on androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for prostate cancer and the osteotomy failed to heal. At 13 months, the ADT was stopped and bony union was achieved in 3 months. Orthopaedic surgeons treating fractures in this patient population need to aware of the problems associated with ADT and closely liaise with oncologists and urologists to stop ADT or start alternative treatment until bony union has been achieved.
