Ruptured cervical intervertebral discs.

Intractable pain in the neck and upper extremity is frequently radicular in character and mechanical in origin. Rupture of a cervical intervertebral disc is the most common cause. Diagnosis and localization are more difficult in the cervical than in the lumbar region. Pantopaque myelogram should be considered only as a mean of localization. Operation should be preceded by a thorough trial of conservative treatment.

Distribution of rupture sites and blebs on intracranial aneurysm walls suggests distinct rupture patterns in ACom and MCA aneurysms.

The mechanisms behind intracranial aneurysm formation and rupture are not fully understood, with factors such as location, patient demographics, and hemodynamics playing a role. Additionally, the significance of anatomical features like blebs in ruptures is debated. This highlights the necessity for comprehensive research that combines patient-specific risk factors with a detailed analysis of local hemodynamic characteristics at bleb and rupture sites. Our study analyzed 359 intracranial aneurysms from 268 patients, reconstructing patient-specific models for hemodynamic simulations based on 3D…

[Modalities of birth in case of uncomplicated preterm premature rupture of membranes: CNGOF Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes Guidelines].

OBJECTIVE: To identify the ideal gestational age at delivery for preterm premature rupture of membranes and modalities of birth. METHOD: To identify studies, research was conducted using Pub-Med, Embase and Cochrane databases. RESULTS: Prolonged latency duration after pPROM does not worsen neonatal prognosis (NP3). Therefore, it is recommended not to deliver before 34 weeks of gestation for patient with uncomplicated preterm rupture of membranes (pPROM) (Grade C). After 34 weeks of gestation, expectant management for pPROM is not associated with neonatal sepsis (NP1) but is associated to int…
