Radicular cyst is the most common type of odontogenic cyst associated with the apex of non-vital teeth. The lining of the radicular cyst usually arises from the epithelial rests of Malassez. These cyst usually persists even after the elimination of microbial load from the root canals. Surgical removal is deemed necessary for the management. Nineteen calves with a clinical history of posterior weakness or ataxia were examined at necropsy. Long bones of 16 3- to 6-month-old lambs with bowed forelimbs underwent radiologic, microradiographic and histologic examinations. OBJECTIVE: To compare clinical outcomes and complication rates between anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) using iliac crest bone graft with plate or cage with plate.
SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA: ACDF is an effective surgical treatment for cervical degenerative radiculopathy. Restoring the disk space with iliac crest bone graft yields good outcomes; however, it is associated with donor site pain and complications. The alternative, using an interbody cage, may delay bony union.

INTRODUCTION: The loss of femoral bone substance represents a major therapeutic issue. When the loss of bone substance is extensive, or the local condition is unfavourable, there are few satisfactory solutions. In this study, we share our experience of large femoral bone reconstruction by free fibula flap.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A retrospective monocentric chart review (2007-2017) was performed for 26 patients after receiving a pure bone-free fibula flap operation. The times of consolidation and hypertrophy of the graft were analysed according to the fixation with a 2-year follow-up.

BACKGROUND: The aim of the present retrospective study was to evaluate complications following carbon-fiber-reinforced polyetheretherketon (CFR-PEEK) volar plating in distal radius fracture in a large cohort of patients. As an alternative to conventional metallic devices, CFR-PEEK plates have been introduced over the last few years.
METHODS: We performed a retrospective study including all patients who were treated for distal radius fracture using a volar fixed-angle plate DiPHOS-RM (Lima Corporate, Udine, Italy). All CFR-PEEK plates implanted were reviewed between May 2012 and December 2017.

We sought to assess the clinical effectiveness of a new plate design which offers improved biological and biomechanical features, the limited contact dynamic compression (LCDC) plate. We analysed 114 LCDC plates applied consecutively for upper extremity fractures or reconstruction in 94 patients. Three patients were lost to follow-up, leaving 111 plates in 91 patients followed to definitive fracture/osteotomy outcome.
