Percy Medicine is a nonprescription gastrointestinal suspension containing bismuth subsalicylate as the active ingredient (1050 mg/10-ml dose). A 3-month-old infant with colic developed salicylate toxicity requiring hospitalization in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) as a result of continued administration of this medicine. A 6-year-old, standardbred mare was presented for colic of 12 h duration. Transrectal palpation revealed intestinal distension of unknown cause. The mare was euthanized. OBJECTIVE: To report the case of a left complete triple ureter with ureteral pyelocalicial system draining independently into the bladder in a patient consulting for episodes of right renal colic.

We report the unusual case of a patient with chronic carriage of Salmonella typhi who presented with partially calcified splenic abscess linked to colic fistula and ascitis. The prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors diclofenac and indomethacin relieve pain in renal colic probably by decreasing renal pelvic pressure. Decreased diuresis and effects on the oedema around the obstructing stone are plausible explanations. In the present study on rabbit renal pelvic tissue strips it was found that both indomethacin and diclofenac decreased the spontaneous phasic activity of the strips. Agenesis of the gallbladder and cystic duct represents one of the rarest anomalies of the biliary system, with a reported incidence of 0.007% to 0.027%. Thirty patients with chronic upper abdominal pain and no evidence of cholelithiasis were entered into this study. All had negative ultrasonography of the gallbladder, and most had a host of other negative investigations.
