The coexistence of rheumatic mitral stenosis, Ebstein's anomaly and Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is an uncommon entity. To our knowledge, the successful management of this combination of lesions has not been previously described. We report a 23-year-old woman with the combination of these abnormalities. She was managed with preoperative electrophysiological study, followed by mitral valve replacement and Danielson's repair of tricuspid valve. The management issues involved are discussed in detail.

A rare case of Ebstein's anomaly with coarctation and VSD is reported. Severe subaortic stenosis and LV dysfunction were progressed after PA banding and coarctation repair at four months old and Hardy procedure and VSD closure at five month old. Konno procedure was successfully performed with SJM 21A at one year and nine months old. Since coarctation type VSD may cause subaortic stenosis after its closure due to posteriorly deviated infundibular septum, anterosuperior margin of VSD would occasionally better to be eliminated at the time of VSD closure. This is the youngest one of Konno procedur

We detail the simultaneous surgical treatment of Ebstein's anomaly combined with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome in a patient who presented with multiple accessory conduction pathways. The extensively deformed tricuspid valve was replaced by a Hancock xenograft and the atrialized ventricle was plicated. Surgery was performed under the beating heart condition and this made possible electrical mapping which facilitated the localization of both accessory pathways. By the method presented here, all existing accessory pathways can be pinpointed during open heart surgery and the time of their interru

A 14 year old girl with Ebstein's anomaly and Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome without supraventricular tachycardia underwent closure of an atrial septal defect and tricuspid valve commissurotomy. Her postoperative course was complicated by her first episodes of recurrent debilitating paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. Severe tricuspid insufficiency with low cardiac output necessitated a repeat intracardiac operation. At reoperation the patient underwent successful tricuspid valve replacement with concomitent cardiac mapping and division of the bundle of Kent. In patients with heart diseas

INTRODUCTION: The da Silva Cone repair (CR) has demonstrated to be an effective intervention for Ebstein's anomaly (EA). Perioperative management can be complicated by arrhythmias, but previous studies showed improvement with preoperative catheter and intraoperative surgical ablation. The purpose of this study was to describe the evolving diagnostic protocol and perioperative findings at our center.
METHODS: All patients referred to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh from February 2016 to December 2024 with EA who underwent CR were reviewed. An electrophysiology study (EPS) was performed

BACKGROUND: Ebstein's anomaly represents 40% of congenital tricuspid valve abnormalities. Studies about paediatric Ebstein's anomaly patients are limited.
AIM: To evaluate clinical characteristics, treatment (medical/arrhythmia ablation/surgical) results, and outcome of Ebstein's anomaly patients, and to determine factors affecting arrhythmia presence and mortality.
METHODS: Clinical data, echocardiography, treatment results, and outcomes of patients followed in our centre between 2000 and 2017 were retrospectively evaluated.
RESULTS: A total of 79 patients (61 children, median diagnosis ag

Ebstein's anomaly is an uncommon congenital malformation which might be associated with atrial septal defect and atrio-fascicular Mahaim. Here, we report a known case of Ebstein's anomaly with atrial septal defect and concomitant atrio-fascicular Mahaim pathway who underwent atrial septal defect device closure and concurrent ablation of accessory pathway.

A combination of double outlet right ventricle(DORV) with Ebstein's anomaly and aortic coarctation (CoA) is vary rare. We report a successful staged surgical repair for DORV with Ebstein's anomaly associated with CoA. The patient had subaortic perimembronous ventricular septal defect (10×7.5 mm) and small atrial septal defect( 3 mm). Two great arteries were side by side position. The posterior leaflet of the tricuspid valve was 10 mm displaced to the right ventricle and tricuspid valve regurgitation was severe. The patients was unsuitable for primary biventricular repair because the size of th

Ebstein's anomaly is a rare congenital heart disease characterized by downward displacement of the tricuspid valve, atrialization of right ventricle, enlarged right atrium with tricuspid regurgitation, or stenosis. It is often associated with atrial septal defect (ASD) or patent foramen ovale with right to left shunt. It has a varied clinical presentation and can manifest as cyanosis, ventricular, or supraventricular arrhythmias and recurrent episodes of congestive heart failure. We describe the anesthetic management of a female patient with Ebstein's anomaly who had right frontal lobe abscess

An 50 year-old asymptomatic female was admitted to preoperative cardiovascular evaluation for noncardiac surgery. Two-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography demonstrated that left ventricular dimensions and ejection fraction were normal. The mitral valve was normal both in morphology and function. The attached margin of septal and anterior leaflet of the tricuspid valve was apically displaced. But right ventricle and right atrium dimensions were normal, and Doppler interrogation showed a slight tricuspid regurgitation. Two and three-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography showed promine

The rare congenital heart defect of Ebstein's anomaly is characterized by downward displacement and elongation of the septal cusp of tricuspid valve. As a result, it is often associated with a thin-walled and poorly contractile right ventricle, an enlarged atrium, tricuspid regurgitation, atrial septal defect with intracardiac shunt, pulmonary hypertension and tachyarrhythmia. Published reports or studies on analgesic and/or anesthetic management of laboring parturients with Ebstein's anomaly are limited. We present an evidence-based case report of the successful management of an obese laborin

PURPOSE: To evaluate the value of MRT with spin echo (SE) and CINE gradient echo (GE) sequences for the pre- and postoperative assessment of patients with Ebstein's anomaly.
METHODS: Twelve patients within the ages of four to 49 years (mean 22 +/- 12 years) were examined pre- (n = 5) or postoperatively (n = 7) after tricuspid valve reconstruction with a 1.5 T scanner. For the anatomical assessment, an ECG-gated transverse SE-sequence, for the assessment of valve morphology and function as well as for volumetry a CINE GE-sequence with retrospective gating was used. With the use of the multisli

Pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum is an uncommon congenital cardiac anomaly which very often present varying degrees of downward displacement and dysplasia of the tricuspid valve. A 23-year-old woman was referred at 23 weeks' gestation because of fetal cardiomegaly detected by routine ultrasonography. Ebstein's anomaly with pulmonary atresia was diagnosed by fetal echocardiography. On pulsed Doppler examination, a severe tricuspid regurgitation was detected. Pulmonary atresia was suspected, as forward flow was not detected into pulmonary artery. The fetus was terminated at 25 we
