Aqueous zinc-iodine (Zn-I2) batteries are promising for grid-scale storage and flexible electronics because of their nonflammable chemistry, low cost, and high theoretical capacity. Lithium oxy-thiophosphates isostructural with Li10GeP2S12 (LGPS) were synthesized by a liquid-phase process using 2-propanol as the solvent and Li2S and P2S5 as the starting materials. The XRD and 31P NMR results indicate that the synthesized compound has a slightly shrieked LGPS-type crystal structure where sulfur in PS43- is partially replaced by oxygen. A one-step, eco-friendly ultrasound-assisted process is established for the rapid synthesis of sulfur-carbon composite cathode materials, avoiding the widely used, energy inefficient "melt-down" process for Li-S batteries. In this study an increased SUSPPUP ratio and fractional excretion of potassium in dogs infected with Babesia canis suggested mineralocorticoid excess in canine babesiosis. A significant increase in strong monovalent electrolyte fractional excretions in azotaemic dogs infected with B. canis probably resulted from acute tubular necrosis.

In this study, we have found a new pathway of Cr(VI) photoreduction in the presence of Fe-(III) that is influenced by two inorganic electrolytes (i.e., NO3- and Cl-) and the pH. In 368 cows with various abomasal disorders--left abomasal displacement (LAD), right abomasal displacement (RAD), abomasal volvulus (AV) and abomasal impaction (vagal indigestion)--the degree of dehydration was compared with electrolytes and acid-base status of the cows.
