Bulk Microarray and Single-Cell Transcriptomic Analyses Reveal Bacterial Lipopolysaccharide-Related Biomarkers in Sepsis.

Sepsis, a life-threatening condition triggered by dysregulated host response to infection, poses significant global health challenges. Identifying lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-related biomarkers and underlying mechanisms remains critical, yet underexplored. We integrated bulk microarray datasets and single-cell RNA-seq data from the Gene Expression Omnibus to identify LPS-related genes associated with sepsis. scRNA-seq was used for cell clustering, annotation, AUCell scoring, and cell-cell communication analysis. Differentially expressed LRGs were screened from both bulk and single-cell datasets a

Feasibility of a Machine Learning Classifier for Predicting Post-Induction Hypotension in Non-Cardiac Surgery.

PURPOSE: To develop a machine learning (ML) classifier for predicting post-induction hypotension (PIH) in non-cardiac surgeries. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Preoperative data and early vital signs were obtained from 3669 cases in the VitalDB database, an open-source registry. PIH was defined as sustained mean arterial pressure (MAP) <65 mm Hg within 20 minutes since induction or from induction to incision. Six different ML algorithms were used to create binary classifiers to predict PIH. The primary outcome was the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) of ML classifiers.

Late feature fusion using neural network with voting classifier for Parkinson's disease detection.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is classified as a neurological, progressive illness brought on by cell death in the posterior midbrain. Early PD detection will assist doctors in reducing the disease's consequences. A collection of skilled models that may be applied to regression as well as classification is known as artificial intelligence (AI). PD can be detected using a variety of dataset formats, including text, speech, and picture datasets. For the purpose of classifying Parkinson's disease, this study suggests merging deep with machine learning recognition approaches. The three primary componen

Modelling a self-defined CNN for effectual classification of PCOS from ultrasound images.

BACKGROUND: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a medical condition that causes hormonal disorders in women in their childbearing years. The hormonal imbalance leads to a delayed or even absent menstrual cycle. Women with PCOS mainly suffer from extreme weight gain, facial hair growth, acne, hair loss, skin darkening, and irregular periods, leading to infertility in rare cases. Doctors usually examine ultrasound images and conclude the affected ovary but are incapable of deciding whether it is a normal cyst, PCOS, or cancer cyst manually. OBJECTIVE: To have access to the high-risk crucial PCO
