AIM: The aim of this study was to determine the radiographic morphological characteristics of fallopian tubes in women of child-bearing age.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: From 2007 to 2008 we retrospectively collected records from women aged 19-45 years undergoing fertility evaluation who had normal salpingograms. Women were excluded if they had abnormal imaging on salpingogram, ultrasound, or hysteroscopy, and if they had any history of pelvic disease or pathology, were febrile, or were taking oral contraceptives at the time of the salpingogram.

STUDY OBJECTIVE: To compare contrast infusion sonogram (CIS) to hysterosalpingogram (HSG) for use as a 3-month confirmation test after Essure.
DESIGN: Pilot study (Canadian Task Force classification II-2).
SETTING: Healthy women in an academic multispecialty group.

PURPOSE: In an effort to reduce patient radiation dose during selective fallopian tube catheterization, the diagnostic adequacy of fluoroscopic images was compared with digital radiographic images in both a phantom study and a clinical study.
METHODS: For the phantom study polyethylene tubes with inner diameters of 1.30, 0.95, 0.80, 0.57, and 0.45 mm were used. Randomly selected tubes with/without stenoses, recorded by digital radiographic and last-image hold fluoroscopic images, were presented to five blinded radiologists, and receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) analyses were performed.

Five cases of pregnancy developing in a rudimentary uterine horn are reported. The incidence of this association is 1/40,000 pregnancies. Three patients underwent surgery in a context of massive intraperitoneal bleeding due to rupture of the uterus during the second three months of pregnancy.
