In a retrospective study based on 107 B-CLL patients, the expression of the adhesion molecules CD44, CD11a, CD11b, CD11c, CD18, CD25 and CD54 was analysed in bone marrow cryostat sections by immunohistochemistry. Pathogenic mechanisms in human cerebral malaria remain unclear. We reevaluate the role of cell-mediated immune mechanisms in the pathogenesis of this disease based on autopsy findings in a 34-year-old Caucasian male. AIMS: Rosacea is an inflammatory skin disease with immune and vascular dysfunction. Although there are multiple treatment strategies for rosacea, the clinical outcomes are unsatisfactory.
MAIN METHODS: Combining transcriptome data and the Connectivity Map database quercetin was identified as a novel candidate for rosacea. Next, the therapeutic efficacy of quercetin was substantiated through proteomic analyses, in vivo experiments, and in vitro assays.
