Our paper describes 5 patients with a vascular malformation - angiomatosis. In the first patient, a young man, angiomatosis affected the stomach, intestine, the area of mesenterium and retroperitoneum as well as mediastinum. INTRODUCTION: Hepatitis-associated aplastic anemia is a common syndrome in patients with bone marrow failure. However, hepatitis-associated aplastic anemia is an immune-mediated disease that does not appear to be caused by any of the known hepatitis viruses including hepatitis C virus. The authors describe a case report of 48-year-old woman treated with Interferon alpha for the chronic active hepatitis B and C. During this therapy thyrotoxicosis occurred. It disappeared after the withdrawal of Interferon alpha and administration of strumigens. The effect of antiretroviral treatment on HIV-1 phenotype was studied in a group of 83 nucleoside-naive patients. These initially nonsyncytium-inducing HIV-1 positive patients were followed prospectively for their HIV-1 phenotype.
