The term chordoid glioma of the third ventricle was first used to describe a rare and slowly growing neoplasm of uncertain histogenesis, with chordoid appearance, occurring preferentially in middle-aged women. Herein we report two additional examples of this novel entity together with a literature review based on the 25 cases previously published. Our review fully confirms the strikingly stereotyped clinical, neuroradiologic, and pathologic features of this unique tumor. Reported in this paper is a case of a fetus delivered in the 24th week of pregnancy whose intracranial space was found to be almost totally filled up by a choroid plexus papilloma. Co-expression of vimentin and cytokeratin 8, 18 of the epithelium was immunocytochemically observed, as had been also described in normal fetal choroid plexus.

We present a morphological and immunohistochemical study on three papillomas and one carcinoma of the choroid plexus. Clinical characteristics are analysed. Morphological criteria for malignancy are: solid histological pattern, cellular polymorphism, nuclear atypia and infiltration of nervous tissue. The immunohistochemical study shows the value of GFAP, S-100 protein, HNK-1 and Vimentin as specific markers. In the discussion we point out the differential diagnosis between these types of tumors and the metastasis from papillary carcinomas and ependymomas.

A case of supratentorial intracerebral cyst, containing ectopic plexus, is discussed. The cyst had no communication with the ventricular system or subarachnoid space. The cyst wall was lined in part by flattened or cuboidal epithelium and in part by glia. Fronds of choroid plexus protruded into the cavity of the cyst in one part. The preoperative and postoperative computerized tomography scans are presented and the operative findings are discussed. The management of such cases is reviewed.

The authors report a new case of choroid plexus papilloma. Hydrocephalus produced by this tumour has special features. Diagnosis is made by CAT scan. Despite surgery and the begnignity of such tumours, prognosis is generally poor. In the reported case two radiological pictures over a 5 year period did not any increasing of the size of the tumour.

Thirty-two patients with presumed choroidal nevi were examined and photographed in both white and green light. Twenty-one lesions disappeared or became markedly attenuated when viewed with green light. The remaining 11 lesions did not disappear when viewed with green light. Many of these nevi demonstrated visual field defects and fluorescein angiographic abnormalities. The clinical applications of green light ophthalmoscopy and photography are discussed.

This case report aimed to reveal the multidisciplinary aspect and discuss an association of disorders in a complex case with Hodgkin disease, meningioma, avascular necrosis with bilateral involvement and ankylosing spondylitis. We report the case of a 47-year-old patient, diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma at the age of 14. Uveal melanoma is the most common adult primary intraocular cancer. Although liver metastasis is common to the natural history of the disease, metastasis to the fellow eye is extremely rare.
