Many high-grade serous carcinomas (HGSCs) likely originate in the distal region of the Fallopian tube's epithelium (TE) before metastasizing to the ovary. OBJECTIVE: To examine potential risk factors associated with the success rate following fallopian tube recanalization (FTR) in infertile women with obstruction of the proximal fallopian tube.

Definitively diagnosing primary fallopian tube carcinoma (PFTC) prior to surgery is difficult. In the first working diagnosis, PFTC is often misdiagnosed as ovarian cancer.
