[Role of Intraoperative Indirect Channelography in Glaucoma Stent Implantation].

Several glaucoma stents are available to surgically reduce the intraocular pressure in primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). In comparison to conjunctival opening procedures, the advantages of microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) are relatively atraumatic ab-interno procedures through a paracentesis, conjunctival sparing for later filtrating surgery, and possible combined cataract surgery. In this overview, the principle of intraoperative indirect channelography as a decision criterion for the individual selection of glaucoma stent implantation is presented. Through a paracentesis a slight hypo

This report describes the association of developmental glaucoma with bilateral optic disc pits and uveal effusion. A case of developmental glaucoma (isolated trabeculodysgenesis) presented with bilateral optic disc pits and uveal effusion detected on ultrasound biomicroscopy. Uveal effusion and optic disc pits could be associated with bilateral developmental glaucoma. The constellation of symptoms reported here have not been previously described in the literature and thus merit exploration.

Chronic angle-closure glaucoma secondary to a suprachoroidal effusion induced by central retinal vein occlusion.

A 68-year-old woman presented to the ophthalmology emergency clinic with a painful left eye of a few hours' duration. One month prior, the patient had presented with a central retinal vein occlusion in the same eye. Examination revealed an intraocular pressure of 32 mm Hg in the left eye with 360 degree angle closure unaltered by indentation, a patent iridectomy from a previous combined phacoemulsification and trabeculectomy surgery, and no evident iris or angle neovascularization. Ultrasound biomicroscopic examination revealed a large suprachoroidal effusion with anterior rotation of the cili

Mature cataract and lens-induced glaucoma associated with an asymptomatic intralenticular foreign body.

We report a case of mature cataract and lens-induced glaucoma associated with an asymptomatic intralenticular foreign body. At initial presentation, the patient had no definite history of ocular trauma. During cataract surgery, a metallic intralenticular foreign body was expressed with hydrodissection and easily removed with intraocular forceps. Postoperative visual acuity, ocular status, and electroretinographic findings indicated that the crystalline lens served as a natural barrier to irreversible intraocular toxicity.
